About Us – Draft
We are 4 women studying and working in creative arts. Our work is based on values of empathy, connection, belonging, inclusivity, empowerment, positivity, and creativity within a community of people identifying as women. We are starting a digital and physical movement called “I Am Here.” It is about people identifying as women reclaiming our space, it is about us being heard and being seen, and it is about saying we matter in every context. The physical part of this movement is rock painting/decorating/marking, a small act with a big meaning: making a positive mark on the landscape. We will hold creative rock painting workshops and women anywhere can also, in their own time, make their personal rock creations. Rocks are formed under pressure, and they withstand it; rocks represent strength, steadiness, and durability. The digital aspect of the movement develops on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter) with images of the painted/decorated/marked rocks, using the hashtag #IAMHERE. The campaign offers the opportunity for participants to feel empowered through a small gesture and to experience a virtual coming together and belonging thanks to this creative act.
Changes made:
I took away the anyone can take part as this is aimed at people identifying as female- not exactly at anyone.
I added a line about us holding workshops, and about how women can make a creation in their own time
About us – Changed to
We are 4 women studying and working in creative arts. Our group practice is centred on values of empathy, connection, belonging, inclusivity, empowerment, positivity, and creativity within a community of people identifying as women. This is a digital and physical movement called “I Am Here”. It is about people identifying as women reclaiming our space, it is about us being heard and being seen, and it is about affirming we matter in every context. The physical section of this movement consists of the creative act of rock painting/decorating/marking, a modest deed with a significant meaning: making a positive mark on the landscape. The digital aspect spans across social media platforms through images of the painted/decorated/marked rocks, defined by the hashtag #IAMHERE used across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter. The campaign offers the opportunity for participants to feel empowered through a small gesture and to experience a virtual coming together and belonging through this creative act. It is not confined to any location, and anyone can take part, making it inclusive.
